Recital is the weekend of May 19th & 20th.

If you have an important event (wedding, religious event, etc..) that conflicts with either date, please notify Miss Heather at dance_fapadancers.com.

What We Do

Our focus is in the instruction of all types of Dance including: Tap, Jazz, Acrobatics, Lyrical, Modern, Ballet, Pointe, Hip-Hop, Street (Breakdancing), Pop & Lock, Pilates; Voice (Singing) lessons & Acting/Theater training.

Featuring a spacious, fully climate controlled 9,000 square foot facility; 6 separate dance rooms, all with the newest innovation in dance flooring, "Authentic FAPA Sprung Floors".

Closed circuit TV's for each dance room available in the waiting area so that parents, grandparents, etc. can watch as the classes are in session.

Our Absolute Dancewear Store has a large selection of dance wear including "FAPA Wear®", dance shoes & more!

We are Located in the Shop Rite Shopping Center at the intersections of Routes 9, 33 and 79 in Freehold, New Jersey. Many of our students are from the Jackson, Marlboro, Manalapan, Howell, Englishtown, and Millstone Township areas. So if you are in Monmouth County New Jersey, please check us out!

Our Danceroom Floors

Our Studio features Authentic FAPA Sprung Floors®.

From the instant you begin dancing on our Authentic FAPA Sprung Floors® you will notice the difference. As a performer, you should not have to restrain or hold back to prevent injury. Authentic FAPA Sprung Floors® are designed to protect performers from the strain associated with performing on an unyielding flooring surface such as concrete, tile and wooden floor joists. Our floors are designed with the best materials and workmanship and are recommended for all types of dance.

The give of Authentic FAPA Sprung Floors® is consistent throughout the entire floor. Safety comes directly from the shock absorption provided by the closed cell foam blocks that directs the forces associated with a dancers movement away from the body.

Why is this important?

The impact force with which the foot strikes the floor will rebound off the surface and vibrate up through the body as an energy shockwave. This shockwave affects muscles, tendons and leads to joint trauma at the ankle, knee, hip and lower back. Performing on a non-sprung floor can result in shin splints, sprains or worse.

You may find a lot of studios skip this important step as this flooring is very expensive. Before you register for classes at any Performing Arts center, be sure to ask if they have sprung flooring. Freehold Academy of Performing Arts utilizes professionally installed Authentic FAPA Sprung Floors® in all six of our studio rooms and YOU SHOULD INSIST ON IT!!

Fall/Spring Session 2011-2012

Fall Registration has begun!

Our Fall/Spring Session runs from September - May. We accept new registrations throughout the session. Students learn both technique and choreography in class.

A recital is held for all students in May.

We Offer: Dance Classes for Ages 2 1/2 - Adult

Theater Classes for ages 6 - Teen

Vocal Lessons for ages 6 - Adult

Summer Session 2011

Our Summer Session runs 10 weeks. We offer a variety of unique day camps and evening classes.

Our Camps :

* New... Dance & Musical Theater Performance - Dance, Sing, Act, Set/Prop Design, Audition Prep. Four 2 week sessions (do as many sessions as you would like). Monday-Friday 10am- 3pm

Cirque du FAPA Acro Camp - Acrobatics, Gymnastic Skills, Flexibility, Tumbling & Strength. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10am-1pm. Ages 5-Teen

Street Camp- Breakdancing, Pop & Lock, Hip-Hop Culture & more! Mondays 6-8pm. Age 9-Teen

Evening Classes :

Dance/Theater Evening Classes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Evenings. Ages 2 1/2-Adult

Birthday Parties :

Have your party at FAPA! We offer all-inclusive themed dance/Acro parties for girls & boys of all ages. Pick and choose between a variety of themes, games & special activities. See the front desk for details.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHEN DO SESSIONS BEGIN/END?

Our Fall Session begins in September and ends in May; Our Summer Session begins in June and ends in late August.

WHAT IS YOUR TUITION POLICY?

Cash, Checks, Money Orders, and Credit Card payments are accepted as payment, which is due on the 1st of each month. September's tuition is due upon Registration. You have the option to sign up for automatic monthly payments with credit card or checking account. Tuition is based on 34 weeks of classes throughout the session and divided into a monthly fee for your convenience. Holidays are not included in your tuition fee.

IS THERE A DISCOUNT FOR FAMILIES WITH MORE THAN ONE MEMBER ENROLLED IN FAPA?

Yes! They receive discounts on Registration Fees and Monthly Tuition. Contact us for details! There is also a discount on monthly tuition for families having one member that is enrolled in more than one class.

WHEN AND WHERE IS YOUR RECITAL HELD?

Our Recital is held in May at the Millstone Performing Arts Center in Millstone, NJ.

HOW MUCH DO COSTUMES COST AND WHEN IS THE PAYMENT DUE?

Our costume fee is $90 per costume, which includes costume, accessories & alterations. The payment is due by November 15th.

WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON INCLEMENT WEATHER?

We usually follow Freehold Township School District's policy for inclement weather decisions. Call 1-2 hours before the class and our decision will be on the answering machine. You may also stay updated online at our website www.fapadancers.com.

CAN WE PURCHASE PICTURES WITH THE DANCERS IN COSTUMES?

Yes, a professional photographer comes to the recital to take individual and class pictures.

WILL I BE ABLE TO WATCH MY DANCER DANCING DURING CLASS?

Yes, through our closed circuit television system. Each room has a seperate television for you to watch your child while sitting comfortably in our waiting area. We must keep the class doors closed so that the dancers can learn more and not lose time with distractions.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER EVENTS IN WHICH FAPA PARTICIPATES?

Yes, throughout the year we provide information on all special events occurring at the studio and in the local area.
